VERDAD
THE TRUTH
THE CONCLUSION
There is always room for new leadership in the black community. The great and influential leaders seem to have the following characteristics: the ability to communicate, courage, patience and gathering facts to address the issues of today. Civil rights leaders hold an important part in the community. They are hated by many and loved by few. However, they are able to rise above and provide better outcomes for the community and the nation as a whole despite the animosity towards them. The question that lies is whether or not one would consider Al Sharpton to be the leader that the black community needs in order to progress. If one were to answer that he is not the leader needed, then they understand his actions cause more harm than good and overall benefit himself. However, if one would to argue after this paper that he is the necessary leader for the black community, then my question to them is: what are some things he has done that has assisted the progression of the black community? Most likely they will find that under Al Sharpton there hasn’t been much progress.
